Your agent can now start the conversation

Until now, every chat started the same way: a visitor clicked the widget, your agent waited. That is a lot of conversations that never happen — visitors who lingered on pricing, got stuck on a product page, or came back a third time without ever opening the chat.

Conversation Starters change that. Your agent can now reach out first, based on what a visitor is actually doing on your site.

How it works

You set up rules for when the agent should speak first — a page pattern (/pricing, /tutors/*), a behavior threshold (30 seconds of dwell, 50% scroll, exit intent, returning visitor), and a goal you want the message to achieve. When a visitor matches, the agent composes the opener with full access to the same tools it uses in inbound chats — so it can recommend, link, or guide, not just greet.

It is a real conversation, not a popup. The opener lives in a normal thread. The agent keeps the page context for every turn after, so when a visitor replies "sure" or "yes, please", it knows what they are agreeing to. No falling back to canned responses three messages in.

Off by default. Yours to tune

Conversation Starters ship behind a master switch in AI Settings. Add one rule, ten, none — your call. We seeded three archetypes from real customer patterns to start from: indecision on listing pages, stuck on detail pages, evaluation on pricing.
