Push notifications for assigned threads
When a client sends a new message on a thread you're assigned to, you'll now get a push notification on your phone and in the Starko inbox — instantly.
How it works
- Assignee-only. Only the person assigned to the thread gets pinged. No noisy team-wide broadcasts.
- Client messages only. Notifications fire when the client writes in. Outbound replies, AI responses, and internal activity stay quiet.
- Smart batching. The first message in a conversation hits you immediately. If the client fires off a burst of follow-ups (the classic "hi" → "are you there?" → "I had a question"), they collapse into a single notification instead of buzzing your phone five times. Once things go quiet for a couple of minutes, the next message comes through fresh.
- Every channel. WhatsApp, Email, Instagram, Telegram, and Slack — same behavior across all of them.
Why we built this
Before today, if you had AI handling a thread but a client suddenly needed human attention, the only way to know was to keep checking the dashboard. Now the system taps you on the shoulder the moment your client speaks up — but only when it's actually your thread, and only when it's worth a buzz.
Setup
If you've already enabled push notifications in Starko, this works automatically. If you haven't:
- Open Starko on your mobile device or in the browser
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Allow push notifications
- Make sure you're assigned to the threads you care about
That's it. Welcome to a quieter, more responsive inbox.
