Every place the AI speaks now runs on the same prompt and the same tools. Previously, proactive openers and the public chat API used an older, separate setup with its own persona rules and a smaller toolset. That's been consolidated, so the assistant behaves the same whether it's replying in the widget, opening a conversation itself, or answering through the API.
Better conversation openers
Proactive openers now get the full picture the inbound assistant gets: your persona rules, the customer's history, and the same tool set. A new thread started through the chat API also handles greetings correctly. If you've configured a greeting message, it's sent as-is with no AI call; if you haven't, the AI writes a context-aware opener instead.
What's been retired
The Telegram channel has been removed. Historical Telegram conversations remain visible in the inbox, but you can no longer connect a Telegram bot or reply through one. The unused mobile API endpoints and the legacy email-code identity flow for the chat API are also gone. If your integration needs to verify an end user's identity, the widget's signed identity mechanism is the way forward.
These changes are live. Nothing to configure unless you relied on Telegram, in which case reach out and we'll help you move.
